A twelve hour bus ride south from La Paz takes you through
only a few towns of any size- Oruro, and Potosi', and eventually
to the small town of Cotagaita. The Yarumal padres and
seminarians make the trip often, to visit and assist each others'
work in the towns along the way. Padre Silvio Costa is the new
Pastor here at the Parish of Santiago. The church is a grand
old building, but in need of repair. Cotagaita is filled with
families and children and the mission here is very involved in
the lives of the people.

Recently the parish camionette-
or pick-up truck that takes Padre Silvio
from pueblo to pueblo broke down,
and funds are needed to repair it .

The pueblos are accessible by dirt roads- difficult to travel during the rainy months
